Delivering Critical Power Infrastructure for NZICC
Core Switchboards is proud to have played a key role in the rebuild of the New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC)—a landmark project in Auckland’s CBD. This five-stage development also supports the adjacent Horizon Hotel and required high-performance systems that could meet complex, large-scale electrical demands. With expertise in both electrical switchboards and control panels, we delivered a total of 17 mechanical services switchboards (MSSBs) across the project.
Multi-Stage Delivery, Fully Executed
We supplied 4 x MSSBs to power the NZICC’s extensive carpark systems as part of Stage 1, and 1 x MSSB for the chillers servicing both the NZICC and Horizon Hotel in Stage 5. The remaining 12 MSSBs—delivered across Stages 2, 3, and 4—were each custom-built to specification, compliant with industry standards, and rigorously tested to ensure seamless integration and long-term reliability.
A Proven Partner in Large-Scale Projects
The successful completion of all five stages highlights our capability in electrical switchboard manufacturing and control panel solutions for complex, high-profile builds. Our consistent delivery—on time, on spec, and built to last—reinforces Core Switchboards’ reputation as a trusted partner for reliable custom boards across New Zealand’s commercial and infrastructure sectors.
